"This is a place to be a leader among many leaders."
Jonathan Metellus wants to be where there’s action and adventure. He has completed a degree in Criminal Justice and plans to work for the FBI.
Jonathan has already made community service a priority. As president of Bronco Men, he leads a dedicated group of fellow students who mentor African-Americans at local public schools. "We serve as role models for young people to reach their goals, especially through education. When I talk to students about achieving their dreams, it makes me reflect back on how far I have come in my time at FSU."
According to Jonathan, his campus involvement has allowed him to become "a leader among many leaders." His work with Bronco Men earned him the Outstanding Leadership Award and the opportunity to attend a two-week Summer Leadership Course in Homeland Security. The experience was highlighted by hands-on practice in which he worked directly with agents, went on field trips to major airports, and visited the Homeland Security Office in Durham.
"Since I have graduated, I really appreciate the opportunities FSU has given me."
