Dear FSU Alumni and Friends,
Back in August 2007, the Search Committee began the process of recruiting a new Chancellor for Fayetteville State University. As you know, President Erskine Bowles charged us with finding a leader to enhance the image of FSU and to establish this great institution as a major player in higher education in North Carolina and also in the nation. We believe we are well on our way to accomplishing the task that was entrusted to us.
The Search Committee has been working diligently over the past few months in an effort to identify that one individual who will be the best fit for the FSU students, faculty, staff, and the Fayetteville community. We are well on our way to finding such a person. The goal is to have someone on board by July 1, 2008 and I feel quite confident that the committee will meet this goal.
Please continue to monitor this website for more information regarding the search. We plan to provide more updates in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continued support and patience.
Sincerely,
John B. (Ben) Brown, Chairman FSU Board of Trustees and Chancellor Search Committee
