Chancellor Search Public Forums
John "Ben" Brown, chairman of the Fayetteville State University
(FSU) Board of Trustees and head of the search committee for the new
Chancellor of FSU, has announced a series of forums that will allow the
students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public to voice their
opinions on the new leader for the institution. With the exception of
the staff forum, which will be held in J.W. Seabrook Auditorium, all of
the forums will be held in Shaw Auditorium in the School of Business and Economics. While each forum targets a specific group, all are open to the general public.
The forum dates and times are:
Founded in 1867, FSU is the second-oldest public institution in
North Carolina and one of the oldest historically black colleges and
universities in the south. A constituent institution of the University
of North Carolina, FSU has an enrollment of nearly 6,800 students and a
faculty of more than 200. The university is fully accredited by the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and offers 45
undergraduate, 24 master and one doctoral degree programs in the arts
and sciences, business and economics, and education.
